I don't know how much I would have paid to gain the skills this platform has provided. I am sure the cost is no small deal.
The tutors are really committed to the success of every student and follow up is the best of its kind anywhere in the world.

Twitter brought me here...and then to CMapIt and then to Carto and to MongoDB and the experience has been very helpful. With far less than basic knowledge of GIS (ie academic knowledge), GISforSI has taught me more than any school may ever. I'm still work in progress and can't wait for when I can contribute effectively to qualitative Social Impact. Thanks to @xniyi and the entire crew working behind the scene for this opportunity. I'd gladly recommend GISforSI modules to the NUC, NBTE and NOUN for adoption into Nigerian tertiary education curricula. @brunoegwumba

I'm a graduate of Urban and Regional Planning. I took a GIS course while in school an that was what inspired me to seek to know more as what i was taught in school was not sufficient to practice in real-time. GISforSI has being a very interesting platform to learn on. It completely got a hold of me as i had to pend some other engagements to focus on the course. The admin has been really wonderful(understatement), they are always available to help out. What more can one ask for in an online course? Nothing, I guess. CMapIT GISforSI is the best!
Thank You, Apata Adeyinka O.

GISFORSI has been a wonderful platform for me to learn GIS real good. These facilitators have been very nice, bringing it down for us to understand. I believe that with this information and knowledge I have here, I can contribute immensely to Agriculture and other important sector of the Nigerian economy using GIS as a tool for development and improvement. Thanks.

I've always heard about GIS and had wondered what exactly that was. A Ghanaian friend spoke to me about it in 2012 and I was on the lookout. Luckily, I found the opportunity to register for GISfoSi on Twitter and without delay, registered. I have not had a better experience at receiving practical training online. From zero knowledge about GIS except for the meaning, I moved from understanding spatial data, attribute date, learning to use location based apps better to upload geo-tagged data, CartoDB, gvSIG, exposure to MongoDB and many other practicals I did. It was also fun using the torque map on CartoDB and uploading my own data sets. The opportunities are so wide and the areas of application are expanding. I have honestly learned a lot and I enjoyed the honest reviews on assignment submissions.
Thank you for this immeasurable opportunity. Whenu Adagba
